I read the reviews prior to purchasing. Reviews were good and had done very good comments about problems they had in assembly which were minor but were good to know. So, I bought one and got it within 2 weeks. I read all the reviews again to refresh my memory on lessons learned by other people. Took about 8 hours I guess working by myself. I did need help standing the mill onto the runners.

Hardest part was setting up the footings to be level prior to laying the runners out. Then once the runners were assembled checking the level was important. Had to make some adjustments.

Then once the saw was in place on the runners I ran it back and forth a few times to ensure smooth operation. Had to make some more adjustments on level and that the runners were straight with each other. Have milled a couple logs and it's worked well. I couldn't be more pleased. Delivered in a sweet steel crate, this saw was fairly easy to assemble.

I recommend watching youtube videos as guidance. The assembly instructions don't cover everything but were helpful with diagrams.

Parts were a good fit. Takes about 4 or 5 hours to assemble. Comes with a nice Lenox blade.

This saw blazes through maple logs. It was the best value I could find.

Milling wood species unavailable at lumber yards. It really cuts nice if you set it up wrong. It's cheap and it works. Cuts faster than I expected with the engine size.

Assembly instructions could use some improvements but I got it together in around 4 hours. The blade that came on my mill was in good shape, and I didn't have to adjust anything about it before I began sawing for the first time. The instructions however could have been written a little bit better however, but that was small potatoes really. I've cut oak, pine, and walnut with it, made several 2x4's, inch lumber, and 4x6's and it cuts and runs real well.

The 301cc (8HP) engine that came with it will start after the first pull and has enough power and uses very little gas. One final thought, you really do have to have it level with both track sections meshing together properly (meaning that either track section can't be out of alignment even a little) otherwise the carriage wheels will jump track on you. There's very little room for err. Just before I bought it we moved out to a 3acre spot in the woods and I wanted it to make lumber for all the projects my wife wanted me to build.

When we built the house (Not with the mill) we took down 7 large white oaks and 2 poplars. So I had plenty of training material. First thing I did and I suggest you do is throw out the blade it comes with. The instructions are a difficult read, but if you have any sense its pretty easy to put together. A friend and I had it together and milling in about 3 hours. MAKE SURE ITS ON A LEVEL SURFACE. That was our first mistake and reading the bad reviews that sounds like a lot of other peoples too. Second, you can find blades at any blade manufacture that will work on this mill just get the specs off the blade it comes with (Before you throw it out). Also get a blade designed for the type of trees you will be cutting. Next I saw a bad review about replacing the belt. DO Not over tension it! You should be able to pluck the blade and it will strum.

You should have about a 1inch give when pushing on it. If you do bust the belt you DONT need to special order one. Same with the guide bearing. Don't try and find special order parts.

They are all off the shelf generic parts that you can find locally. So far I have milled 100's of board feet of lumber and built decks, sheds, chicken coops, goat pens, outdoor furniture, and a garden wall with the mill. No problems with it at all as long as its level, has a good blade, tensioned correctly and you don't try and saw through the log dogs....

Yes I did that while not paying attention. The largest log I have been able to mill so far was 28" in diameter at 9' 8". Needs to be really level for good smooth boards. Was really easy to put together very straight Motors very powerful everything works well I would recommend it anytime.

Easy build, did it solo. If don't want to grind the track connection, you can use shims. Between tracks is easier as 77mm + or - a hair. The track setup was a little tricky but fit and finish is very good , power is OK.
